My name is Dr. Sheneen Meghji and I am the course lead for a very exciting course called the Essential Surgical and Laparoscopic Skills for Medical Students and Foundation Doctors. Please could you forward this email with the attached poster to all your medical students in clinical training and the foundation doctors. Thank you.
It will be held at The ICENI Centre in Colchester on Thursday 14th May 2015 (12.00-17.30). It will cost £45 to attend and will include some light refreshments.
It is an intensive half-day course designed to teach essential open and laparoscopic skills in surgery for medical students and junior doctors. The course is facilitated by consultants and ST1-ST8 registrars, with a low student-to-teacher ratio. Students will gain experience in basic suturing, knot tying and safe handling of instruments both in an open and laparoscopic setting.
This course will prepare students and foundation doctors for their surgical rotations in medical school and during their foundation jobs as a doctor. It will put them head and shoulders above their colleagues and will allow them to start building up their professional portfolio. Spaces are limited so please book fast.
To book online go to: http://www.icenicentre.org then click: Core Surgery in the Courses section. Find the Essential Surgical and Laparoscopic Skills for Medical Students and Foundation Doctors and book!
