I’m writing from RedR UK, a humanitarian aid charity which trains humanitarian NGO workers and provides recruitment, technical and membership services to aid workers worldwide.
On 28th April we are holding ‘Kickstart Your Humanitarian Career’, a humanitarian careers fair and panel discussion. The aim of our careers fair is to provide individuals – either those interested in entering the sector, professionals within the sector that are early in their careers, or mid-career professionals from other fields looking to enter into the sector - with a better understanding of what skills are required and what opportunities and pathways are available to begin a successful humanitarian career.
There will be representatives from a number of NGOs present who will be available to answer questions from attendees on career or voluntary opportunities within their respective organisations, as well be available for networking more generally. The panel discussion will allow attendees to listen to prominent NGOs from the sector discuss what it’s like to work in the sector, pathways for entering the sector, and their best advice for career progression. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to submit their questions to the panel!
The careers fair and panel discussion are taking place at Mace Group in Moorgate, London, and are free to attend. The link below offers a summary of the event and the option to register:
