In 29 years, 1566 drugs were created. Only 21 were made for neglected diseases.
If you want to learn more about the access and research gap and want do something about it, then join Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) and help make a difference!
UAEM is a student led organisation that is dedicated to actively promoting equal access to medicines as well as an increase in research into neglected diseases. Originally founded in the US, UAEM has spread across the globe with more and more branches being set up - including at Barts!!
