A team from RLH is looking for 3 volunteers to help with data collection for a piece of research on paediatric travel health including the uptake of pre-travel advice, vaccines and chemoprophylaxis in East London.
The academic aim is publication, and volunteers will be named contributors if they complete their fair share of the data collection.
Data collection will involve approaching families in paediatric A&E and guide them through an electronic questionnaire of approx. 10 minutes. We are aiming for 300 responses divided equally between the Royal London, Newham and Whipps Cross.
Because this is a fair bit of work, it will be spread over a number of weeks. We are imagining a process of each volunteer committing a number of hours per week - this will be discussed and of course take into consideration the time available to volunteers. We are in the process of applying for ethics approval, so the project will take off once we are "in the clear" - all likelihood pointing to this autumn.
Any additional languages spoken will be a plus - but is not a must.
