The UKITP Registry (www.ukitpregistry.com) at the Royal London Hospital/Blizard Institute require part time assistance with its research.
The Registry is looking for couple of students who can assist with its research, especially data collection, basic analysis, reviewing articles, DNA extraction, reporting and other research related activities. Over the years, the Registry has worked with many medical and dental students who have gained valuable research experience.
Due to a staff shortage, the Registry will require the assigned staff to cover for at least 2 full days per week during the summer vacation and this can be job-shared. During the term time, the hours will be revised down to suit the staff and Registry. The tasks are generally office based but there will be some lab-based work too (at least one full day at times).
Past experience of assisting research, such as data collection, analysis and reporting, and research administration are desirable skills. It essential to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, although the use Access is an advantage. Any previous experience of lab work, will be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
If selected, students will be employed by Queen Mary University of London as a data extractor/Research Assistant on a temporary part time contract which can be up to 6 months, with a potential for renewal.
Anyone who is interested can send a short note explaining your interest and availability accompanied with your CV to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org
