The Royal College of Pathologists, along with British Division of the International Academy of Pathology and the Pathological Society of Great Britain & Ireland are hosting its third Undergraduate Pathology Summer School in London on Friday 19 and Saturday 20th August 2016.
This event is open to all UK medical students in any year of training, interested in finding out about the diverse role of pathology in healthcare and how pathologists contribute to important advances in healthcare in the UK & beyond. This is an opportunity to hear from specialty leaders and current trainees about training and working as a pathologist, learn about virtual autopsy and hear about the worldwide fight against major diseases. Spend time in small group, finding out about all the different specialties, hear first-hand about day-to-day working as a pathologist and begin to think about other aspects of health care provision that pathologists are involved in.
The course will be held at the Gordon Museum of Pathology, part of Guy’s Hospital, London. Attendance for successful applicants is free and includes accommodation for the Friday night only, meals and two days of activities.
