What does the President do?
The President oversees the day-to-day running of and all decisions made by the Barts and The London Students’ Association (BLSA), chairing the Student President's Council and leading the BLSA Board.
The President is a Vice-President of the Queen Mary University of London Students’ Union (QMSU) and as a trustee of the QMSU charity, must also act in the best interests of all Queen Mary University of London students.
What does the Student President's Council do?
The Student President’s Council meets weekly to discuss pressing matters affecting Barts and The London (BL) students, setting the direction of the Barts and The London Students’ Association and tackling issues as they arise. Members of SPC also sit on Student Council and BLSA Board, and may have additional responsibilities in chairing their own committees (e.g. Dental Society).
What does the BLSA Board do?
The BLSA Board meets monthly to discuss the key themes and issues affecting the Barts and The London Students’ Association and to set targets over the coming months, in order to achieve the organization’s key aims and objectives, as decided by the students.
