An Evening with Plan International UK

  • Room 2.36 Garrod Building (map)

Plan International UK, our adopted charity for this academic year, are coming in to talk to us about the amazing work they do around the world and how we can get involved. They will share some of the incredible initiatives they are running and their new campaign, It’s Not Okay, opening up the conversation on street harassment and inviting people to share their experiences.

The talk will be delivered by two of Plan International’s members, Louise (Communities and Events Officer) and Rebecca (Sexual & Reproductive Health Advisor). She will give us a talk on FGM or female genital mutilation. They will tell us of the work they do to tackle this around the world and here in the UK as it affects over 5,000 women in the UK alone!
