Whether you’re looking to continue taking part in a sport or you want to explore a new one there are plenty of opportunities within Club Sport for you to get involved. Clubs are run by students for students. The Students' Union is home to over 60 sports teams at both our Queen Mary and Barts & The London Campuses.

Join a sports club, represent your university, and compete in local, national, and international competitions. Being part of a club is a great social experience and an excellent way to develop your sporting skills.

The Community Foundation is our sport leadership and workforce development programme. We provide a platform for students to make a positive difference in the local community of Tower Hamlets as well as developing our workforce of student leaders that facilitate internal and external opportunities.

Students can engage in a number of ways such as supporting physical activity with local schools and sport clubs, tackling issues through our Social Cohesion Sport programme, mentoring on our Young Leaders Academy and leading our Sports Camp during the school holidays. All students can benefit from our Leadership Academy with rewards such as certificates, clothing, and funded sport qualifications.

The Students' Union Social Leagues offer a fun social environment for students and staff to compete in sport without the commitment required for a sports club. Enter as an individual or as a team with friends and course mates and take part in different leagues across all 3 semesters. Trophies and medals are awarded for the winners of each league!

All Social Leagues take place either on or near campus. The leagues are open to all abilities and fees include fixtures, officials, facilities, and equipment. You will be required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Weekly fixtures and results will be posted on the Social Leagues pages so you can stay updated with where you stand in the league.

Sports for the 20/21 academic year include: Basketball, cricket, football (7-a-side), football (11-a-side), netball, table tennis and badminton.

Social Leagues begin on week commencing October 19th

All sports will be run in adherence the latest Government guidelines for each league. There will be no sharing of equipment and hand sanitiser will be provided.
