Charterhouse square

Charterhouse Square campus is located near Barbican  Underground Station, and contains Dawson Hall, one of our halls of residence. Located right in the City of London, with a beautiful lawn area in front, visit in the summer and take  advantage of the sunny days with a barbecue and a cool drink.

The ground floor contains The Shield, a space open to anyone studying here to study and socialise, and where we hold events. Our new dance studio will be located next to this space, so keep an eye out!

Most of our postgraduate teaching and research facilities are  located here too, with the William Harvey Heart Centre, Barts Cancer Institute & John Vane Science Centre located here as well as a the offices of the Faculty staff.

This campus is a short walk from Barts Hospital, containing our West Smithfield campus…

West smithfield

Our West Smithfield campus is based inside  St. Bartholomew's Hospital, the oldest hospital in England, having been founded in 1123. Teaching has taken place here since then and the hospital lends its name to our medical and dental schools now.

The West Smithfield Library is a beautiful study space stocked with medical textbooks, journals, and PCs for IT access. There is a 24 hour basement  reading room with PCs and a printer for those long study sessions. on this site.

The hospital is used for various placements for our clinical courses, and some research is also conducted on this site.

The Robin Brook Centre is here, where a majority of medical clinical skills, communication skills, and other practical skills are taught. You can also book self-directed practical labs here and at Ilford, with equipment provided.

Whitechapel

Whitechapel Campus contains the Garrod Building, the home of the Students' Union and the BLSA. It's where most of undergraduate teaching is, and where most of our events are held. The Garrod Building contains our cafe & bar The Griff, where you can grab a coffee and work in the day, and join your friends for a pub quiz in the evening. Our fitness suite is in the basement here, used by our sports clubs. The multi-faith room is on the third floor and you can find the BLSA Offices on the second floor on the way to the  mezzanine. Whitechapel Library is our main medical science library, based in the gorgeous St Augustine with St Philip's Church open for 24 hours during final exam season.

Floyer House is our accommodation here, just a one  minute walk away from everything on this campus, making it easy to attend your lectures. It has a quiet courtyard; perfect to relax in after a long day of lectures... Attached to it is Laird Hall, our resident theatre where our Drama, Music and Dance societies perform.

The Royal London Hospital, and it's associated  teaching facilities are also on this campus, as well as  being the home of the London Air Ambulance. The Dental  Hospital is next door, where most of the BDS and dental BSc  teaching takes place.

Mile end

Mile End Campus is the main campus for QMUL, containing most of the university’s teaching spaces, social spaces and halls of residence. We're the only campus university inside London, so if you need some time away from your fellow healthcare students, spend some time next to the canal and enjoy the sun!

Mile End Library is the largest library on campus, with a large selection of resources and study spaces over 4 huge floors. (We'd recommend the 4th floor for the views and natural light!)

The Turnbull Center is also here, in the Bancroft Building, where any dissection is taught across our courses. Above this, the Dental School has their Physical Science department. QMotion, our student union gym, is also on this campus. Keep an eye out for student deals in freshers fortnight!

ilford

Our Ilford Campus contains Lynton House a new hub for medical clinical skills, communication skills, and collaborative teaching. This space also is available for self-directed learning bookings, and contains new mock ward facilities for simulation teaching.
